kevin larsen

VP of Professional Development

Kevin is a senior at San Diego State University and will graduate and be CPA eligible in Spring 2021. He has taken an unconventional route through life and school, choosing to work and travel after high school instead of attending college. For example, he spent time as a supervisor with the YMCA and then as an entertainer on cruise ships. This perspective on school and life has helped him to surpass his own expectations in his educational pursuits.

Kevin feels his life experience and attitude is a strong asset for Beta Alpha Psi, wanting to help those around him surpass their own expectations as well. Taking the officer role of Professional Development, he is excited about the many opportunities to help students recruit with firms and achieve success. He has felt the value of Beta Alpha Psi grow with each semester and is looking forward to giving back.

His free time is spent with his two young nieces as their “Fun-cle” (Fun Uncle). When not with them, Kevin loves to play golf and basketball. He is a big basketball fan and is fully aware of how unconventional it is for him to be a fan of the Celtics and the Lakers. However, Kevin is extremely proud to be an Aztec and a fan of SDSU sports.

PAUL SAGER

FACULTY ADVISOR

Welcome to the Beta Eta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi at San Diego State University.  I am pleased to serve as the faculty advisor and continue the standard of excellence set under my predecessors, Drs. Brett Kawada and David DeBoskey. Our Beta Eta Chapter is one of the most outstanding chapters in the nation.  We’ve received the Superior Chapter award for three consecutive decades, and our students have competed and won Beta Alpha Psi competitions at the regional and national levels.

As an honor organization, candidates and members of the Beta Eta Chapter represent the best of  SDSU’s Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy. The Chapter leadership will plan activities to help you prepare to become a professional accountant. In addition to networking with prospective employers, you have the opportunity to give back to our community and develop life-long friendships.  Your professional skills will be enhanced through workshops and participating in the regional and national competitions. I encourage you to participate in as many events, activities and competitions as possible.

As faculty advisor, I accept the challenge of supporting a student organization that holds itself to such high standards.

Sincerely,

Paul A. Sager
