Membership requirements
General:
- 8 hours of community service per semester
- Attend 5 meetings (one can include MTF, and only one can be Big 4 Meeting)
- Dues based on Membership Status:
- Affiliates – $45
- Candidates – $50
- Members – $45
- Tentative: Dues should be received no later than one week before MTF
Affiliate:
- Must be an undergraduate student
- Accounting majors: must not be enrolled/have completed Accounting 331
- Finance/MIS majors: must not be enrolled in 3 units of courses beyond those courses required by all business majors (Accounting 201 & 202, BA 323 and MIS 301 and/or 331)
- Have an overall GPA of 3.00 or above
- Not eligible to become National Members of BAP International

Candidate:
Candidate (Undergraduate student):
- Accounting majors: must be enrolled in an upper division course such as Accounting 331
- Finance/MIS majors: must be enrolled in 3 units of courses required for the major beyond those courses required by all business majors (Accounting 201 & 202 done; enrolled in ACCTG326 (finance), ACCTG331 and/or MIS306/MIS 315 (MIS))
- Have declared or intend to declare a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
- Have completed at least one year of collegiate courses
- Have an overall GPA of 3.25 or above
Member:
- Completed a semester as a candidate
- Meets GPA requirements
- Meets attendance requirements
Member (Undergraduate student):
- Accounting majors: have completed an upper-division course such as Accounting 331
- Finance/MIS majors: must be enrolled in 3 units of courses for the major beyond those courses required by all business majors (Accounting 201 & 202 done; done with ACCTG326 (finance), ACCTG331 and/or MIS306/MIS 315 (MIS))
- Have declared or intend to declare a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
- Have completed one year of collegiate courses
- Have an overall GPA of 3.25 AND a GPA of 3.25 in their major
Candidate (Graduate student):
- Have been accepted and matriculated into master’s degree level Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems program OR is taking courses as a non-degree post-baccalaureate student and has stated an interest in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems program
- Have completed/is enrolled in at least 6 units of study at SDSU beyond those courses equivalent to the MSA/MBA core courses in their area of emphasis (Ex: Accounting emphasis would require completed/current enrollment of 6 units of ACCTG courses numbered 500 or above)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above in all courses related to their emphasis (ACCTG, FIN, etc) beyond the core business classes taken while a graduate at SDSU (Accounting emphasis students would only consider ACCTG courses, Finance emphasis students would only consider FIN classes, etc); If this is the student’s first semester, there is no cumulative GPA requirement.
Member (Graduate student):
- Have completed 6 units of Master course study at SDSU (courses numbered 500 and above)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above in all courses related to their emphasis (ACCTG, FIN, etc) beyond the core business classes taken while a graduate at SDSU (Accounting emphasis students would only consider ACCTG courses, Finance emphasis students would only consider FIN classes, etc)
- Cumulative averages of at least 3.25 in all units of study while a graduate at SDSU
