Membership requirements
UNDERGRADUATE
An undergraduate apprentice candidate shall:
- Have declared or intend to declare a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
- Have completed at least 1 year of collegiate courses
- Have an overall and major GPA of minimum 3.25*
- If an Accounting major, be enrolled in ACCTG 331
- If Finance or MIS major, must be enrolled in 3 units of courses required for the major beyond those courses required by all Business majors (ACCTG 201, ACCTG 202, BA 323, and MIS 301 and/or MIS 331)
GRADUATE
A graduate apprentice candidate or a graduate candidate is a student that has been accepted and matriculated into a master’s degree level of Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems programs, or is taking courses as a non-degree post-baccalaureate student and has a stated interest in these programs.
Each graduate candidate apprentice shall:
- Have completed less than 6 units of study at SDSU Beyond those courses equivalent to the MBA core courses in their area of emphasis.
- Have a cumulative grade average of at least 3.25 in all Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems courses related to their emphasis beyond the core business classes taken while a graduate student at SDSU
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Attend a minimum of 5 meetings (only 1 of the joint Big 4 meetings may count)
- Perform 8 hours of community service work, reported to VP of Reporting
- Have a 3.25 minimum major GPA or a 3.25 SDSU overall GPA; if no SDSU overall GPA exists then a minimum overall GPA of 3.25

Affiliates must meet the following requirements:
- Attend a minimum of 5 meetings (only 1 of the joint Big 4 meetings may count)
- Have a 3.00 cumulative GPA
- It is strongly recommended that they perform community service because of the networking opportunities it provides, as we will be volunteering with firms.
